Christmas Card Sneak Peak

I don't want to post my Christmas card on here yet, because I only just sent them out today haha. So I will post it next week on Christmas, and then it might still be a surprise for some people when they get it in the mail.

But here are some of the "outtakes" from our card. I edited a few pictures, so I had options when I started placing them in the card designs. I had originally wanted a design that allowed for one large picture and three smaller ones, but it just wouldn't work the way I wanted. So I ended up using two pictures (and not any of the ones I'm posting here!)...Anyway, here is some holiday Sadie cheer for you all...

Also, it seems like we're getting a snow storm here this weekend, so I'm sure I'll have some fun pics to post after that! Sadie loves the snow.

A Big Thank You (And Some Christmas Cheer)!

As mentioned in a previous entry, Sadie and I won a little contest over at Our Life: Dozer and Coop! Well, I came home yesterday to see a package waiting for us! Sadie and I were very excited :)

I took a few videos of Sadie helping me open the package, and I will try to post them later tonight or tomorrow...For now, though, here are some pictures.

Sadie and I loved our gifts, so thank you so much to Dozer, Coop, Dottie, and Nancy!!!!

I'm also including some Christmas pictures...one tree (the giant one) is on display at the outlet mall near my house, and the other is my aunt's pretty tree. I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season, and Happy Hanukkah to all those that celebrate!

Fashion Forward

You may have noticed that I make Sadie wear clothes sometimes. I know, I'm horrible! I used to say I would never do that if I had a dog, but sometimes I see these things in the store and just can't resist. I have a feeling Sadie wishes I would resist the urge. Most of the clothing she has doesn't last more than one photo. Trust me, I don't want to torture her, so if she is really unhappy, the clothing comes off. And never goes back on again. The only items she wears multiple times is her raincoat and her winter jacket. I mean, these are just practical. Right? Haha.

This post continues yesterday's Wordless Wednesday post. I bought that reindeer costume so I could get a cute picture for our Christmas cards. But Sadie just looks so sad in the picture, I opted for something else. (I will share our card with you all once I receive them.)

Here are some other pictures of Sadie dressed as a human...(My personal favorite is the one in the sweater, where she is hanging her head in shame haha.)

Jumping for Joy

Have you noticed that I like alliteration in my subject lines? I'm such an English major/writer/editor...

This subject line is related to two things:

1. Sadie won a contest! YAY!!! Thanks to Dozer, Coop, Dottie, and Nancy over at Our Life: Dozer and Coop!! There was a contest in honor of their 400th (way to go!) post, and Miss Sadie was the lucky winner. We look forward to our prize! Sadie LOVES opening packages that are for her. I will be sure to take pictures, and maybe a video! :) Thank you! (We never win anything haha.)

2. Sadie is quite the jumper. I have wondered for awhile if this is a corgi thing, or if it's more true of her other possible breed(s). And when I say she is a jumper, I mean she JUMPS. High. It looks like she is on a mini trampoline. She can jump up to about my chest. I'm about 5'4....and she has short corgi legs!!! How does she jump so high? She does the most jumping when I come home from work. It's just too funny because she just springs straight up from the ground. Maybe the short legs help?? I need to get this on video, so you can all see it. Whenever someone meets her for the first time, and they see her do this, they are shocked and amazed. Do your corgis jump high?

Here's a funny story about how I discovered her jumping talent. When I first adopted her and had to go to work, I put her in the bathroom with a baby gate up in the doorway. I wasn't sure how trained she was at the time, so I figured this was the safest bet. Keep in mind that when I got Sadie, she was smaller than she is now. Not by a lot, but she was definitely smaller. So I leave her and go to work and miss her all day. I get home and look into the bathroom. The baby gate is still intact...but there is no Sadie in the bathroom! Then I see her. Laying on the couch!!!! She jumped over the baby gate, without even knocking it over, and chilled on the couch all day. What a stinker! And after that day, the baby gate went in the closet and was never used again.

Food Monster

Sadie loves food. (What dog doesn't, right?) She isn't a beggar, though, which is good. Basically, she just sits at your feet and stares at you while you eat. Well, that's better than barking, right? I've gotten used to it, and kind of find it a little endearing. I mean, I can't resist her adorable face. And she knows this. She also has learned that my uncle (who we are staying with) can't resist her cuteness either. He often gives her whatever he is eating. So she has been following him around the kitchen more than me these days.

Here are some pictures of Sadie looking up at my uncle. So cute, right? And one of her and one of the cats we are staying with BOTH staring at my uncle as he eats haha. Then a few of her going to town on a bone haha. (And one of us from Thanksgiving.) Wait until you see the pictures I'm planning on using for our holiday cards! :)
